The Embedded Software Engineer will join a driven team responsible for the whole lifecycle of the company’s highly important motor controller products. Both improving current systems and developing new strategies, implementing software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing models, and optimising system performance, this Embedded Software Engineer role is not to be missed!

What’s Required?

For this Embedded Software Engineer, we are ideally looking for:

  • Substantial experience within embedded engineering, ideally within automotive software development and using C or C++
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, plus experience with requirements and lifecycle management tools such as DOORS, Polarion or codeBeamer
  • A solid understanding of model-based development and with auto coding tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and Embedded Coder
  • A familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop simulation tools such as dSPACE or similar systems
  • Any knowledge of AUTOSAR compliant systems, common automotive development tools (i.e., Vector CANape or ETAS INCA), and Simulink Test and/or MathWorks AUTOSAR Toolbox would be advantageous
  • Any experience with developing products adhering to ISO standards and/or Automotive SPICE would be a plus

The Role

The Data Scientist will be joining a small, dedicated team of Data Scientists, who are responsible for the development, implementation and improvement of processes related to the preparation, analysis and interpretation of large quantitative/qualitative data sets.  The Data Scientist will prepare complicated data sets, including validation and cleansing as required, to enable further analysis to be carried out, and will create high-quality data outputs, using Python programming skills, as well as some SPSS, and/or R etc.

With a head office in Oxford, the position can be office-based, fully remote, or a combination of the two – they’re flexible!

What’s Required?

  • Experience gained with Python, within a data/research context, for data processing/manipulation – experience with survey data a big plus
  • Experience in using the Pandas and NumPy libraries for data management is preferred
  • Whilst commercial experience is preferred, this experience could have been gained within an MSc or PhD setting
  • Experience/knowledge of statistical methods and/or experience of using statistical packages for analysing data sets (E.g. Python, R, SPSS, etc.) would be helpful, as would any experience with NLP
