July  –  September 2021: Recruitment Update

Our main findings suggest that:

  • We continue to see permanent recruitment levels staying high however this has slightly decreased from the previous quarter. Similarly, we have also seen a small drop in contract recruitment levels.
  • The most common recruitment challenge is currently candidate shortage. Other common challenges in the industry included Competitor Pressure, Uncompetitive Salary, Internal Processes, and Poor agencies.
  • Over 50% of companies we asked had reviewed salaries within the last 3 months.
  • When hiring developers, 80% of companies would use technical tasks as well as 60% conducting virtual or face-to-face interviews.
