Senior Data Analyst

A Senior Data Analyst is required to join a leading Scientific R&D organisation, based-in Oxford. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely 2 – 3 days per week, with flexibility for the right candidate.

What will I be doing?
You will join an in-house team, in order to provide key insights and reporting on commercial data e.g. supply-chain, financial, sales etc. in order to drive the business forward. This will include:

  • Provide tailored analysis for senior stakeholders
  • Prepare and present key findings and insights to senior management, key stakeholders and relevant team members
  • Provide support & development to current libraries and tools
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers to maintain data warehouses through data insights

The ideal candidate will have…

  • A relevant degree within a numerical field such as Mathematics, statistics or similar as well as a sound understanding of statistical principles
  • Prior experience working with commercial datasets
  • Experience with Python and relevant libraries i.e. NumPy, Pandas and similar
  • Proven experience with Tableau and similar BI tools
  • Sound experience of SQL – Experience of NoSQL (MongoDB) is highly desirable
  • Experience providing insights and visualisation of data to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Experience preparing and reporting relevant data
  • Experience of Software version control (git) is also beneficial
