An experienced Python Developer is required to work on a number of complex problems, as part of a growing team, working in an Agile/CI environment. Developing software, applications and tools, to drive efficiency, automate workflows and tasks, the Python Developer will be able to see the tangible results of their work, as they provide departments across the business with the software and solutions they need to work as effectively as possible.
The Python Developer will work closely with a passionate, Agile-focused Head of Development, who is building a team to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose software. They have partnered with University College London to construct a statistical model to be at the heart of one of their core applications and the Python Developer will be doing some exciting work with algorithms and GIS technologies, adopting and introducing DevOps tools and even working with Google Street View-type technology, it really is a fascinating place to be working just now!
What Experience does the Python Developer need?
My client is seeking a Senior Developer with experience of hands-on, full stack development, who is passionate about building quality software, through efficient, concise and scaleable code. Whilst you’re likely to have technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies, key areas for the Python Developer include:
• Development of software, applications and tools, using Python, as well as perhaps, C++ or Java.
• Experience gained from an Agile/CI environment.
• Database knowledge, ideally PostgreSQL
• Any experience or interest in DevOps tools and techniques would also be advantageous.
