An exciting position has come up in a rapidly growing scientific R&D organisation for a Microbiologist / Scientist to seamlessly integrate into a multidisciplinary team of Researchers and Engineers; specifically working on the characterisation of Microbial pathogens.

The successful Microbiologist / Scientist will work on the production and characterisation of various viruses and pathogenic bacteria as well as provide outstanding documentation and reports on their data; contributing to the organisations wider products and development.

The ideal candidate will have…

  • Have a relevant scientific degree within a complementary field. A relevant Masters/PhD qualification is highly desirable but not essential
  • Prior experience within a lab environment operating as a microbiologist
  • Prior commercial experience in a relevant industry working with HG2/3
  • Pathogenic organisms is particularly desirable
  • Prior knowledge/experience validating and verifying diagnostic products is also advantageous
