An exciting opportunity has arisen in a rapidly growing scientific R&D organisation for a skilled and enthusiastic Electronics Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer, to join their Cambridge-based team.

What will I be doing?
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Engineer, with key skills in PCB & Electric circuit design to develop their skills in a forward thinking and dynamic environment, whilst also contributing to a company truly making a difference!

You will undergo a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Electronic and PCB Design
  • Work closely with the wider engineering teams across software, mechanical & Product
  • Resolve & provide support across a range of technical solutions
  • Contribute to the development of electronic & Embedded software within a high volume manufacturing process

The ideal candidate will have…

  • A relevant degree within a related field such as Electronics, Software Engineering or similar
  • Proven commercial experience as an Electronics / Embedded Engineer
  • Prior design experience, ideally within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Microcontroller embedded programming
  • Former experience working with batteries or battery operated electronics
  • Previous experience within electrochemistry, thermodynamics and sensing technology is highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience within a relevant scientific R&D / Medical Environment is preferable as well as specific experience with IVD and medical devices
