We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join a ground-breaking Oxfordshire based Scientific R&D company! It’s an amazing position for a Data Engineer looking for a company that will improve the lives of millions, through the power of technology.

What will I be doing?
The Data Engineer will join a small cross function team of Software Engineers, Data Scientists and Bioinformaticians, responsible for the development, implementation and optimisation of data structures using Python. Working within a CI/CD environment, the Data Engineer will work with vast quantities of complex data, deploying data pipelines to AWS cloud.
There are multiple projects for the Data Engineer to get involved in and an opportunity to work with the latest technologies including SparQL, Snowflake, Elastic Search, Prefect, Kubernetes, Node.JS, Elixir, Kafka and much more!

The ideal candidate will have…
The Data Engineer will have commercial experience developing data pipelines, data structures working with vast quantities of complex data. Ideally combined with commercial experience with;

  • Python, including packages such as NumPy, SciPy and Pandas
  • Cloud technologies, AWS is preferred but Azure and GCP can also be considered
  • Databases such as PostgreSQL and Elastic Search
  • Any experience with technologies such as SparQL or Snowflake would really set your application apart
