My client, an innovative and forward-thinking start-up within the Med-Tech industry is seeking an enthusiastic Data Engineer, to join their newly developed team, on a remote basis, with adhoc visits to the office.

The role

The successful Data Engineer will work on the build and development of ETL pipelines, working with Python and relevant Python libraries & frameworks, such as Pandas, Numpy & Django, in-order to develop the businesses key products. You will work within a containerised microservice environment alongside skilled Software Engineers & Machine Learning Engineers and be an integral part in the development of an already thriving exciting organisation.

The ideal candidate will have…

  • Joining a start-up requires someone with flexibility, pragmatism and initiative, as well as a willingness to face problems head-on and never shy away from a challenge. As well as these softer skills, the successful Data Engineer will have:
  • Strong skills working with Python programming language as well as experience with relevant libraries & frameworks – Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Django
  • Sound database experience working with SQL Server – Experience of PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases is highly beneficial
  • Experience building and developing ETL pipelines
  • Experience working with large structured and unstructured data, ideally with a focus on medical data
