Job Description
Cyber Security Architect, Engineering Lead, Zero Trust, Microsoft Sentinel, AI Governance, London, COR7700
A Cyber Security Architect opportunity has opened up with a well-regarded professional services firm, offering the chance to shape how security is designed and delivered across identity, cloud, data, and emerging technologies. Could this be the role where your architecture expertise makes a genuine, lasting impact?
The Role
The Cyber Security Architect will take ownership of the full technology estate’s protective design, turning business priorities and risk appetite into practical controls, measurable outcomes, and clear technical standards. Day-to-day, this involves leading architecture reviews, running threat modelling sessions for major programmes and high-risk integrations, and providing senior technical oversight across detection engineering, monitoring, and incident response.
A significant element of this role centres on helping the organisation adopt AI tools responsibly, designing appropriate controls for AI agents, bespoke AI applications, and related platforms such as Microsoft 365 Copilot.
The Company
This is a well-established, London based professional services organisation with a strong reputation in its sector. The firm operates at scale, serving a broad client base with high expectations around confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and technical rigour. The Information Security function is mature and growing, with leadership that values practical depth and demonstrable outcomes over process for its own sake.
What experience does the Cyber Security Architect need?
A background designing and implementing protective controls within a Microsoft-centric environment, covering areas such as Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Defender XDR, Azure, and Purview,
A strong grasp of Zero Trust principles, cloud and identity architecture, endpoint protection, and application-layer concerns.
Demonstrated ability to lead architecture reviews and threat modelling engagements, producing reference architectures, control frameworks, and technical standards for complex or regulated environments.
Hands-on capability across incident response, detection engineering, exposure management, and automating assurance workflows
Familiarity with recognised frameworks including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and NIST CSF
