I’m looking for a Bioinformatician to join a scientific R&D company based in Oxford, working on next generation sequencing (NGS)!
What will I be doing?
As the Bioinformatician, you will be working on analysing DNA sequencing data in multiple biological contexts. Your role will involve benchmarking, evaluating, and comparing different existing analysis methods to find best practices for customers using these sequencing devices. This is a collaborative role, working with lab scientists and other Bioinformatician, and data analysts to interpret complex DNA / NGS data!

The ideal candidate will have…
For this Bioinformatician position, we’re looking for you to have experience with:
– Previous experience with Bioinformatics, either from academia or commercial work
– Experience analysing large data sets
– Scripting – Python, Perl or R
– DNA or next generation sequencing (NGS)
Ideally, you will also have experience with:
– Software engineering principals e.g. Testing, version control
– Experience working closely with lab scientists
