A Bioinformatician with human genetics experience is required to join a leading Scientific R&D company in Oxford. This is a great role if you enjoy collaborative working across multi-disciplinary teams!

What will I be doing?
As the Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist, you will be working on analysing long-read sequencing data in multiple biological contexts. You will be working closely with data analysts to improve and adapt existing tools, as well as setting up automation for your own analysis.

The ideal candidate will have…
For this Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist position, we’re looking for experience with:

  • Previous experience with as a Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist , either from academia or commercial work
  • Experience analysing large sets of sequencing data
  • Experience working with complex human genomes
  • NGS and ideally long-reads
  • Scripting – Python, Perl or R
  • A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
