Automation Developer

Back To Job Board

This is an excellent opportunity for an Automation Developer to join a thriving, family-owned business within the exciting leisure industry. Reaping the benefits of working within the tourism sector, as well joining at the start of an exciting technical transformation, this role is not to be missed!

What will I be doing?
As the Automation Developer, you will work closely with stakeholders from across the business to identify and then deliver opportunities for simplification, digitisation, and automation. As well as enhancing the customer data warehouse, you will develop integrations between various disparate business systems, as well as allowing operational teams to ‘self-serve’ by developing apps, integrations, and automations.

Reporting directly into the CTO, and having a couple direct reports (initially one Database Developer), you will also build reports that will allow the commercial teams to make key business decisions. Joining at the beginning of this technical transformation that currently includes SQL Server, PowerBI, Power Apps, ASP.NET, Azure, Kotlin, Swift, React.js and many more, you have an excellent opportunity to make a real difference and shape the future of this company.

About the company
As the Automation Developer, you will be joining a successful and established family-owned company, who were founded over 85 years ago. With a heavy focus on the happiness of both their customers and employees, it’s truly a great team to be a part of.

Plus, following the appointment of a new CTO, there are great plans in motion for growth, with an exciting focus on technology, so it really is an excellent time for you to be joining them.
The ideal candidate will have…

  • Proven expertise with hands-on relational database design
  • Excellent experience with SQL Server and the Microsoft Power Platform suite, (particularly PowerBI, Power Flow, Power Apps, SSIS)
  • Basic .NET development would be an advantage
  • A familiarity with GDPR requirements and good/modern InfoSec practices
  • A wide, diverse knowledge and enthusiasm for technology
