What will I be doing?

My client, an Oxfordshire Software House is in urgent need of an Application Support Engineer to join their busy support team, providing 1st and 2nd line Application support across my client’s product suite. From day one, the Application Support Analyst will play an integral role in the team; supporting complex applications that are central to my client’s business, and working closely with the Technical Lead in the team.

The energetic Application Support Analyst will be required to provide effective and friendly 1st and 2nd line support to my client’s customers, as well as identify issues in code; adding fixes and removing bugs where possible.

The ideal candidate will have…
For this Application Support Engineer position, we can consider a graduate looking to establish their career within application support, or an Application Support Engineer with commercial experience looking for their next challenge. Key requirements for this Application Support position include;

  • Previous 1st line support experience within a customer facing role, if you have also covered 2nd line support even better!
  • Experience with MS SQL Server
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to solve technical problems
