A Linux Platform Engineer is required to join a scientific R&D company in Oxford! This role would suit a Linux Platform Engineer who enjoys experimenting, researching, and learning new technology, getting involved in the hardware & security elements of their role, whilst working in a collaborative and social team.
This Linux Platform Engineer role is very varied and will find you working extensively with the development, QA, and support of the Linux platform the company’s devices run on. As the Linux Platform Engineer, you will be working extensively with Linux servers, hardware, storage, networking, programming, and performance testing.
The Linux Platform Engineer will be joining a truly exceptional company and one of Oxford’s most exciting R&D institutions. For this Linux Platform Engineer role, we will be looking for:
- Strong experience with Linux – ideally Debian/Ubuntu
- Hardware experience (desktop and server architecture)
- Linux storage and filesystems
