Ultrasound Engineer, Acoustic Engineer, Medical Devices

An Ultrasound Engineer / Acoustic Engineer is needed join an incredible R&D company based in Oxford. The Ultrasound Engineer / Acoustic Engineer will be working on a ground-breaking product being used in the treatment of cancer.

The Role

Working in a position with wide-ranging responsibilities, the Ultrasound Engineer / Acoustic Engineer will work across validation and testing, contribute to both the ultrasound hardware device platform and the ultrasound system software development process, plus will include the planning and conducting of experiments, analysing the data, and reporting on/documenting the outcomes.

The Company

Founded in 2013 and growing ever since, the Ultrasound Engineer / Acoustic Engineer will be joining a MedTech company with huge financial funding and at a crucial stage in their development. With the prototype established and running, the challenge now revolves around creating and improving upon a commercially viable finished product that will be used in hospitals.

What’s Required?

We’re ideally looking for an Ultrasound Engineer / Acoustic Engineer whose experience includes:

  • Extensive experience with ultrasound or acoustics
  • Experience with ultrasonic measurements and calibration
  • Whilst experience can have been gained through academia (An MSc or PhD in a relevant field such as physics, engineering, acoustics, or therapeutic medical ultrasound), industrial experience of commercial product development could prove useful
  • The team work extensively with MATLAB, so experience in this area, or a willingness/ability to pick it up is required
