The Role

Working as a 3rd Line Support Engineer, the successful candidate will be expected to take on all problems that come into the support business and aid their solution.  The 3rd Line Support Engineer will help with the completion of on-running project work with clients, work that can be wide-ranging with a lot of variety!

You’ll work with a varied client base, supporting a range of users and taking on a host of problems.  You’ll be the final leg of support, closing tickets as well as taking a lead role in project work. What’s Required?

Whilst enthusiasm and the ability to provide a highly personable service are key, it is hoped that the successful 3rd Line Support Engineer technical experience and abilities will include:

  • Experience supporting MS Servers and related technologies including Exchange / Active Directory etc.
  • Working with virtual tech including VMWare / Hyper-V

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CIO, the Support Engineer / Systems Administrator will be joining a dedicated support team, responsible for the internal IT across 5 UK sites, supporting approximately 500 users.  The Support Engineer / Systems Administrator will proactively administer the infrastructure and resolve escalated 2nd and 3rd line support issues, helping to ensure that SLAs are met, whilst also getting to work on interesting and varied projects.

What do I need?

  • Some previous infrastructure support experience, with a desire to develop further
