An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join my client, an established manufacturing & distribution company; within the scientific sector. The successful Purchasing Manager will work be based within the Cambridgeshire area but will benefit from hybrid remote working – following successful integration into the business.

The role
Within this role, the Purchasing Manager will operate in both a hands-on and hands-off manor, responsible for supporting strategic purchasing within the business, as well as within a managerial role, supporting, mentoring and guiding a small team of finance professionals beneath them. The successful Purchasing Manager will initially focus solely on strategic purchasing, however once settled, will have the opportunity to expand and develop their role within the realms of prevention planning and stock control. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Manager looking to take their next step and truly expand their skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have…

  • Proven commercial experience within a Purchasing position
  • Prior experience managing / leading a team
  • Experience of ERP or MRP systems
  • Prior experience within manufacturing, as well as experience of raw commodities purchasing is highly desirable, however not essential
