As part of an ongoing digital transformation programme involving both the implementation and replacement of a number of core back office systems – HR, Finance, Payroll, etc. – an experienced Business Analyst is required to take the lead on a variety of business process improvement projects.

Flexible hours and remote working are both available, with the successful Business Analyst working in the office two days a week, with the rest of the time working from home.

The Role

Working in a sector that is truly rewarding, the Business Analyst will use process and modelling techniques to analyse and document existing processes, before assisting with the mapping, simplification and redevelopment of business processes, to drive improvements, efficiencies and return on investment.

What do I need?

  • Proven process analysis and improvement experience
  • Experience of supporting IT Systems implementations/replacements/migrations
  • The ability to organise and facilitate workshops for requirements gathering
  • An understanding of the system development life cycle (Waterfall/Agile) would be beneficial
  • Experience of modelling techniques/notations, such as UML would be advantageous

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst, ideally used to working with 3rd party applications, to play an important role within an SME organisation, as the successful candidate will be responsible for gathering all requirements relating to business applications that are core to my client’s operations.  

 

The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding the business and its processes, whilst eliciting requirements from the business to allow the development of applications and solutions. You will need to liaise with/co-ordinate a number of 3rd party suppliers and vendors as well as working with resources internally.

What's required of the Business Analyst? 

  • You will need to be an expert in eliciting requirements from users at all levels, with the ability to translate those needs into clearly understandable software requirements and specifications.

  • An understanding of various development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
  • Experience of working within an ITIL environment is preferred.

The role
Within this role, the Support Engineer / 2nd line engineer will operate across the full project lifecycle, taking ownership of projects as they come in. You will be responsible for internal customer communications, conducting requirements gathering in-order to maintain, develop and optimise key systems within the business.

You will work with a range of systems, supporting the manufacturing and engineering departments, some of which may include but not be limited to: Microsoft Office 365, Dynamics, SharePoint, Power Platform & Power BI. What's required
To be successful within this position, the Support Engineer / Application Support Engineer will have the following skills:

  • Proven experience of Application / Systems support – Ideally with experience of O365 and other cloud based applications
  • Experience within a customer facing role, conducting Business Analysis-esque activities
  • Sound experience of SQL Server and general database admin & reporting
  • Prior experience of Power BI, Power platform, SharePoint or Barcoding systems is also advantageous
