April – June 2021: Recruitment Update

Our main findings suggest that:

  • Over 86% of companies are planning to hire permanent staff over the next three months which shows continued business confidence which is only like to continue increasing as restrictions lift and summer holidays arrive.
  • The number of companies planning to hire contract staff has decreased by 12%. We typically tend to see a dip at this time of year and expect this to increase again after the summer around September.
  • 79% of our candidates said they were open to new opportunities.
  • With potential plans to return to the office once restrictions lift, a large number of our employers plan to continue working remotely or will implement a hybrid approach.
